# Trigger a test run

POST https://tester.army/api/v1/tests/{testId}/runs
Content-Type: application/json

Trigger a saved dashboard test remotely using API-key authentication. Returns the queued run ID.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — API key authentication using Bearer token format

## Request

### Path parameters

- `testId` (string, required) — Test ID

### Body (application/json)

- `mode` (enum, optional)
  - Allowed values: `fast`, `deep`
- `platform` (enum, optional) — Run platform for the test. Mobile tests default to ios when omitted, so Android runs must set platform: android — including when the mobile app is selected by appId.
  - Allowed values: `web`, `ios`, `android`
- `deviceModel` (enum, optional) — Mobile device variant within the run platform (iOS: iphone | ipad). Omit for the platform default phone-sized device; explicitly requesting the default (e.g. iphone) is equivalent to omitting it.
  - Allowed values: `iphone`, `ipad`
- `appId` (string, optional)
- `projectEnvironmentId` (string, optional)
