How it works

Setup starts with GitHub in the project's Integrations panel, because TesterArmy detects Vercel previews through the GitHub deployment status events that the Vercel project sends.

Connect GitHub first

Install the GitHub App and select the repository for this TesterArmy project, because GitHub stays the event source for Vercel pull request testing.

Install the Vercel integration

Open Connect Vercel from the project's Integrations panel and install the integration for the personal account or Vercel team that owns the target project.

Select one Vercel project

Back in TesterArmy, pick the one Vercel project that matches this repository, since only its deployments trigger tests.

Questions

Enable Test groups for PR runs in the PR Testing tab and select the groups. With GitHub and one Vercel project connected, TesterArmy runs them on every Vercel preview and posts GitHub checks and comments.
Protected previews work with a Protection Bypass for Automation token saved in the TesterArmy project's Vercel integration settings. Web tests apply it automatically on the deployment host and the token stays out of test steps.
Only the single Vercel project selected in TesterArmy triggers tests. Deployments from any other Vercel project linked to the same repository are ignored, and a configured GitHub target branch filters pull requests further.
No webhook is needed. TesterArmy listens to the GitHub deployment_status events the Vercel project sends and verifies each deployment against the selected Vercel project before queuing tests.
