TesterArmy raises $1.2M to build the next generation of software testing
With $1.2M in new funding, we're expanding TesterArmy and building an open-source AI testing framework for humans and agents.
I'm excited to share that we've raised $1.2M in pre-seed funding for TesterArmy.
The round includes Script Capital, Eight Capital, AIP Seed, and angel investors including Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), Charlie Cheever (Expo), Walden Yan (Cognition), Theo Browne (T3), Zeno Rocha (Resend), and many more.
We are building AI agents that test web and mobile apps, helping teams find bugs before they reach their users. This is a meaningful step for us, and I want to share why we are working on this and thank the people backing us.
Why we are building TesterArmy
Oskar and I spent years building mobile apps where quality mattered. Testing was always one of the biggest bottlenecks. You could finish a feature and still have a lot of work left before you felt comfortable shipping it.
Does signup work? Can users onboard? Did anything else break?
Those questions have not gone away with coding agents. A change can be quick to write and still take time to check. Reading the code only gets you so far. Eventually, someone has to open the app and use it.
That's why we're building TesterArmy.
Let the agent do the clicking
Tell TesterArmy what someone should be able to do in your app, such as creating an account and inviting a teammate. Our agents open the app in a browser or on a mobile device, work through the flow, and check that it behaves as expected.
You can run those checks on a pull request before merging, or have your coding agent run them as it works. If something breaks, you get the steps that led to it, screenshots, and a recording to help you reproduce and fix it.
Teams at Resend, bolt.new, and Nando's use TesterArmy every day to test their web and mobile apps. Novu cut flaky tests in half and merges about 30% faster. Juno reports shipping PRs 10× faster and saving two days of manual testing per week.

What we want to make possible
We want teams to be able to check their apps as fast as they can change them. That means testing that fits into everyday development, covers the flows users depend on, and gives engineers enough evidence to act when something fails.
Our next big focus is launching e2e, an open-source AI testing framework. Our ambition is to make it the default tool for humans and agents to build tests across any kind of software.
