Plans and Pricing

TesterArmy bills by the test run. Each plan includes a fixed number of test runs per month, so the number of members, projects, or minutes does not change your price. Current prices are on tester.army/pricing.

Every plan includes unlimited members, web and mobile testing, and every integration: GitHub, Slack, webhooks, the CLI, the API, and the MCP server. Enterprise adds SSO / SAML, SLA support through Slack Connect, onboarding help, and custom integrations.

Understand what counts as a test run

A test run is one execution of one test. It counts the same way from every entry point: the dashboard, the CLI, the API, a GitHub pull request, a schedule, a webhook, or the MCP server.

  • A run can execute for up to 20 minutes.
  • A run counts whether the test passes or fails, because the agent did the work either way.
  • A run that is canceled before it starts does not count.
  • Running a group of 12 tests uses 12 runs.
  • Creating or editing a test uses no runs.

Mobile app uploads do not use runs.

Understand how limits work

Plans belong to a team. Every project in the team shares one subscription and one run limit.

Your run count resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. This is the same for monthly and yearly plans, so the reset date is not your billing date.

Your plan sets the number of runs that can execute at the same time. If you start more runs than this number, TesterArmy puts the extra runs in a queue. Each queued run starts when a running run stops. Queued runs do not fail, and they do not use extra runs.

What happens at the limit

There are no overage charges. When you reach your monthly limit, new runs are blocked until the 1st of the next month. Runs that are already in progress finish normally.

  • The dashboard shows a Monthly limit reached dialog with your reset date and an Upgrade button.
  • The API, CLI, and webhooks return HTTP 429 with the error code UsageLimitExceeded.
  • GitHub pull requests get a comment that explains the block. PR testing resumes after you upgrade or after the reset.

Blocked runs are not product failures. Your tests and history are not affected.

The team owner gets an email at 80% and at 100% of the limit. To keep testing before the reset, upgrade your plan or earn free runs. Enterprise teams can email hello@tester.army to raise their limit.

Check your usage

Open Settings → Usage and billing. The Test runs used section shows runs used, runs left, and the next reset date. The usage bar in the dashboard header shows the same numbers.

Change your plan

Only a team owner or admin can change billing. Other members see a message that asks them to contact an admin.

Upgrade

  1. Open Settings → Usage and billing.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly.
  3. Click Upgrade to Hobby or Upgrade to Startup.

From the Free plan, you pay by card in Stripe Checkout. From a paid plan, Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of the current period. The new limit applies immediately in both cases. Promotion codes work at checkout.

For Enterprise, book a call and we will set up a custom subscription for your team.

Switch to yearly billing

Open the menu next to your plan and click Switch to annual billing. Stripe invoices the yearly price immediately and starts a new billing period.

Downgrade

Click Manage subscription to open the Stripe customer portal and choose a lower plan. The lower limit applies from the next billing period.

Cancel

Open the menu next to your plan and click Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then the team returns to the Free plan. Your tests, projects, and run history are kept.

Manage invoices and payment

Click Check billing details in Settings → Usage and billing to open the Stripe customer portal. It holds your invoices, card, billing email, and address.

Earn free runs

The referral program adds bonus runs on top of any plan.

  • Sign up with a referral link and you get 25 bonus runs for 30 days.
  • When someone you refer buys a paid plan, you both get 100 bonus runs.

Bonus runs are used after your plan runs are used. They expire on their own date instead of resetting on the 1st. Your referral link is in Settings → Usage and billing under Earn free runs.

Is there a free trial?

Every new team starts on the Free plan with 5 runs per month. No card is required and there is no time limit, so you can try TesterArmy end to end before you upgrade.

Do unused runs roll over?

No. Plan runs reset on the 1st of each month. Bonus runs from referrals are the exception, because they last until their own expiry date.

Can I buy more runs without upgrading?

Not through the dashboard. Upgrade to the next plan, or email hello@tester.army for a custom limit.

Do my teams share a plan?

No. Each team has its own plan and its own limit. Only your first team gets the Free plan. Other teams need a paid plan before they can run tests.
